I have been eating here since I was just 6 year old kid. This was my grandpas favorite place to get bbq. I came in today with my old man and had a full rack so ribs, beans, and obviously the fries. I love this place it is a Kansas City classic. The new hot sauces are very good, I was using the emoji one and it was very tasty...

Stopped by Bates City BBQ, to get some sandwiches for the game. I almost always get the turkey, with slaw and beans. They have the most incredible french fries in town, and their ranch is to die for! They are pros with this to go order stuff, and anything that could spill is always wrapped in saran wrap, you got to love it...

My SO and I went here last weekend, my first time and omg let me tell you the bbq is amazing! This is hands down my new favorite bbq place in the city. The ribs were so moist and the burnt end sandwich had such an amazing Smokey flavor. The serving sizes are huge. They handcut the fries and then fry them to order so they are a huge pile of perfect...

Hadn't eaten Bates City BBQ since I had it in Bates City.... It did not disappoint. The meat was tender and flavorful, the fries were wonderful..and a very large helping for 1 side order, plenty for 2 of us. I usually order beans as a comparison for all my BBQ joints, and I would say that there were about average. Tasted very good, a little runny, but a different flavor...

My husband picked up Bates City BBQ for the first time today. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious! The BBQ sauce was great. We also had potato salad and BBQ beans were very good! The price was very reasonable and the staff was friendly! Couldn't ask for more. Thanks for a great experience!! We will be back. Kathy and David Huntington.
